Just got back from a meeting in Brussels on the social implications of pervasive computing technologies. More on that tomorrow, but first an ode to the technological marvel that is Eurostar. What a joy to fly through Belgium, France and (some of) south-east England at 186mph. Shame we still have to endure 12mph for the final 30-minute stretch, until the high-speed link to St. Pancras is completed in January 2007.
Still not as cool as the Japanese shinkansen though.
