Trade unions fight for privacy (and jobs)

AmicusTrade unions fighting off-shoring of their members' jobs are complaining about lax overseas data protection provisions, particularly in India (thanks Dave!). Amicus' National Officer David Fleming said:

Amicus is calling on the Government to take action to prevent fraudulent activity taking place when UK bank accounts and confidential information is transferred overseas. Despite growing evidence of companies failing to take the necessary action to secure their customers information the Government continues to sit on their hands on the issue.
